LANCASTER—Dan Smith, 65, of Lancaster passed away on July 27, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Marie Smith; two sons, William Smith and Daniel F. Smith Jr.; a daughter, Elizabeth Smith Anderson; grandchildren, William Karas Smith and Karla Grace Smith; brother, Larry Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, William G. Smith; and his parents, Wilson and Novella Smith.
He was a loving husband, father and a friend to many and will be greatly missed. Dan worked hard all of his life and was very proud of being a chief engineer and merchant marine.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment followed the service at the Dodson Family Cemetery, 100 Dodson Road, Lancaster. Family received friends prior to the service.
