The Morattico Waterfront Museum, 6584 Morattico Road, Morattico, will hold its seventh annual crab feast September 8. The event will open at 3:30 p.m. in the museum pavilion. Crabs will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.
Special musical guests this year will be the Midnight Coal Company, featuring classic and southern rock, reported Mary Byrd Martin. Abundant food will be available for non-crab lovers. Beer and wine will also be sold.
Visitors are urged to bring their own crab knives and an appetite, said Martin.
The pavilion also offers a small dance floor with views of the sunset on the Rappahannock River, she said.
The annual fundraiser, held rain or shine, contributes to maintenance and operating expenses for the all-volunteer museum.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and younger. Tickets may be purchased from museum board members, by contacting Connie Conley at 761-6213, or by emailing moratticowaterfrontmuseum@yahoo.com.
