Rescue squad recognizes support from Webb bequest for new vehicles

KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad (KLVRS), over the past two years, has been undergoing some significant changes both in infrastructure and equipment.

In addition to adding sleeping/resting quarters to the KLVRS facility at 61 Harris Road, Kilmarnock, a goal has been set to replace all three ambulances with new ones to provide the rescue personnel with the most up-to-date equipment to serve the community, reported treasurer Harry Tayloe.

The KLVRS recently acquired two new rescue units thanks in no small part to Madison “Moon” and Mary Webb, longtime residents of the community, said Tayloe. The Webb family made it a priority to provide for the well-being of their friends and neighbors by making a substantial bequest to the KLVRS for the purpose of acquiring three new units…
