The Lancaster County Lions Club will host the Lions Zone I Bland Music Contest at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 10, at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, 132 Lancaster Drive, Irvington. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
Contestants from local middle, high and home schools are sponsored by area Lions Clubs in Gloucester, Lancaster, Northumberland and Middlesex, reported Lancaster County Lions Club publicist Jim Ward. The event chairman is Dick Saxer of the Northumberland County Lions Club.
Winners in both categories, instrument and voice, will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to advance to regional, district and state competitions, said Ward…..
