WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council last Thursday unanimously approved a $150,000 contract to hire a site inspector for the town’s public sewer project.
Jacob Porter of Porter Matthews Inc. in Richmond will serve as the project inspector. Porter or an assigned and approved employee of Porter Matthews Inc. are required to be on site “anytime there is construction going on,” said town manager Patrick Frere. Construction is scheduled to last 16-20 months and should begin later this month, according to Frere.
