Rulings on motions in Hooper case are continued to March 24

LANCASTER—A retired Norfolk judge was supposed to rule this week on several motions recently filed in a controversial manslaughter case in Lancaster County, but the case has been postponed until March, according to Lancaster County Circuit Court Clerk Diane Mumford.

The defense for John Randolph “Rand” Hooper of Richmond, who has been charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter in the death of his friend, Graham McCormick of Atlanta, filed a motion January 16 to have Lancaster County Commonwealth’s Attorney Anthony G. Spencer disqualified from the case.
