Colonial Beach and Mathews, which battled this week in the Class 1 state semifinals, led the All-Region 1A boys basketball team.
The Drifters, who finished as both the Northern Neck and Region 1A champions and won a state quarterfinal game, 49-37, over Sussex Central, topped the honor squad. Senior Corvion Davis was named the regional player of the year and was named to the first team along with junior teammate Tavaris Lucas. Keith Dickerson was chosen by his peers as the region coach of the year.
