The gift shoppe and café at the Tavern in Heathsville will reopen on a limited basis starting today, May 28. The public also will find that a number of other Heathsville shops are now open.
Located inside Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, the Tavern “Heritage Arts Center” gift shoppe and Tavern Café have been closed since mid-March due to COVID-19 health restrictions. Phase I guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention allow nonessential businesses like the Tavern to cautiously reopen, reported manager Corinne Anthony Becker.
