Mass mailings of Vote by Mail Applications from Center for Voter Information are legitimate

The Lancaster County Voter offices want everyone to know that they are aware of the recent mass mailings of Virginia Vote by Mail Applications.

These were pre-filled and sent by the Center for Voter Information, not Lancaster County nor the Virginia Department of Elections, reported Lancaster County general registrar and director of elections Susan P. Jett.  However, the applications are legitimate and may be used to apply to vote by mail.

Due to the volume of calls, the voter office simply cannot return all of the phone calls and messages regarding this issue, she said.

Alternatively, voters may vote Early In-Person by visiting office beginning September 18 and continuing daily until the end of October.  Lancaster County Voter offices are in the lower level of the County Administration Building, 8311 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Visit  www.lancova.com and choose the voter office link for many helpful links, including registration and ballot request forms, said Jett.
