Gavel drops March 7 on LVHS fundraiser

Auction chairman Rebecca George organized the Old Jail building into a temporary warehouse for donated items.

The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society’s (LVHS) “Treasures, Trinkets, & More!” virtual auction is underway at bigredauctions.hibid.com.

Patrons can view photos and place bids through March 7. Beginning at 7 p.m. March 7 each lot will be featured for two minutes for final bidding, said executive director Karen Hart. Winners should plan to pick up their items from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at the museum, 8346 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster.
