The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce recently announced the selection of Margaret Nost as its Business Person of the Year and William Smith as its Volunteer of the Year.
The award presentation will occur at the chamber’s annual meeting and dinner at 6 p.m. March 27 at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club, 362 Club Drive, Kilmarnock.
Business Person of the year
Nost was nominated by her business peers and received overwhelming support, reported chamber executive director Anne Paparella.
“The nominations for Margaret spoke highly of both her business leadership and the contributions she has made to the nonprofit community,” said Paparella.
Under Nost’s 20-year leadership, the River Counties Community Foundation, Gloucester Community Foundation and Mathews Community Foundation, which serve five counties in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, have grown from a single $25,000 donation to over $56 million in total assets….There's more to this story...
