RICHMOND—Richard Howeth Joyner, 77, of Richmond died from complications caused by COVID-19 on February 10, 2022.
Richard grew up in Morattico and Lively and was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Pinkard Joyner.
He was a proud member of the Lancaster High School Class of 1963 and the Smithdeal Massey Business College.
He worked as an accountant for a number of businesses in Richmond.
He loved sports and was a Little League baseball coach. He was a loyal and devoted fan of the University of Virginia through thick and thin. Richard enjoyed coming back to Lancaster County for class reunions and visits. He had a wonderful sense of humor that many of us will miss particularly at this time.
A memorial service will be held at the Memorial Garden at St. Mary’s Whitechapel Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5.
