Rosemary S. Tomlin

MOLLUSK—Rosemary Segar Tomlin of Mollusk died Monday, August 13, at Bon Secours Hospital in Newport News.

Rosemary was born on September 17, 1949, in Richmond to the late Berkley Segar and Rosie Curry Segar.

She graduated from the Lancaster Public School System and furthered her education at Rappahannock Community College in Warsaw, were she received her certificate in early childhood development.

Rosemary was employed at Joe Sewing Factory in Lively for a few years, Afterwards she worked for the Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club for 48 years.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Berkley Segar and Rosie Curry Segar; and  her brother, Berkley G. Segar III.

She is survived by two daughters, Tanya Palmer of Kilmarnock and Tammie Tomlin of Chesterfield; four grandchildren, Clifton Palmer Jr., of Manchester, Conn., Centrix Palmer of Kilmarnock, Chellse Palmer of Kilmarnock and Quinteze Tomlin of Newport New; five great-grandchildren, Cenaya Palmer, Sabrina Palmer, Trey’elle Williams, TyKeese Palmer and Chloe Palmer; and siblings, Lavenia Johnson, Sherry Paige and Thomas Segar.

Services were held Saturday, August 27, at Hartswell Baptist Church, Mollusk. Interment followed at Old Saint John Family Cemetery in Kilmarnock.
