Lancaster remains competitive; to host district meet Wednesday

Matthew Kane, Josh Woolard and Isaiah Minter finished among the top 10 to lead Lancaster to a team win in a three-team cross country meet at Hills Quarter last week.

West Point’s Corey Daniel was the individual medalist, running the race in 18:16 to lead the Pointers to a second-place finish with 40 points. Lancaster scored the low 35 for first and Middlesex had 48 for third.

Kane was the individual runner-up with a time of 18:43 on his home course. Woolard placed third, 19:31, and Minter seventh, 20:01. Also scoring for Lancaster were Hunter Hayden, 11th, 20:30, among varsity runners and Jameson Scott, 12th, 20:40.

Vicente Reyes and Gunnar Marston led Middlesex….
