Kennel club to offer spring training classes

The Northern Neck Kennel Club (NNKC) will offer seven new spring classes, including basic training for puppies, obedience, rally, agility and Tricks for Fun.

NNKC membership is not required, reported public relations coordinator Bryna Brennan. The six-week courses start at the end of March and the fee is $50 for members and $70 for others.

All classes will be held at the Fricke Pavilion at the Northern Neck Partners for Pets, 790 Devil’s Bottom Road, Lancaster.

To register, contact the volunteer instructors and/or complete the form listed with each class description at northernneckkennelclub.com.

Some classes, such as AKC STAR program, Canine Good Citizen class, Tricks and the Agility Foundation class can lead to titles from the American Kennel Club, said Brennan. All training classes enhance basic manners, bonding and responsible dog ownership.
