KILMARNOCK—Patrick E. “Pat” Thomas, 84, of Kilmarnock passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023.
Pat was known as the “Cracker Man” as he worked for Lance for about 40 years. He retired and loved to play golf at least three times a week or more with his friends, especially Sonny Thomas, whom he loved like a brother.
Pat was preceded in death by his son, Tim Thomas; his parents, Nellie and Broadus Thomas; his brothers, Andrew and Timothy; and his sister, Cecilia Lee.
He is survived by the love of his life, Peggy of almost 60 years; two sisters, Nan Vest and Donna Merrick; sister-in-law, Liz Park; adopted sons, Gary Wilkins (Carolyn) and David Wilkins (Wanda) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Kilmarnock-Lancaster Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 333, Kilmarnock, VA 22482.
