The Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck’s “Sweets for a Sweet Pet Story” event was a sweet success.
Those that entered the event provided heartwarming stories about their pets, and AWL volunteers made home baked goodies to mark the three-day event, reported event coordinator Barb Dietz.
The winners were Rachel Valdrighi for her story about her cat “Kitty” and Joan and John Hendersen for the story they shared about their dog “Taylor.” Their photos and stories will be included as part of AWL’s Christmas Card.
The AWL thanks all who participated in the event and shared their loving stories that touched our hearts. The judges had their work cut out for them, said Dietz.
