WEEMS—A Cinema Six theater at Compass Entertainment Complex on Wednesday, October 18, was packed with folks as two showings were held for the premier of “Kilmarnock’s Own Top Gun,” the story of Rear Admiral Henri Bertram “Bert” Chase, a Kilmarnock native.
The documentary was produced by Mark Huffman, president of 26th Street Media, and details the 36-year military career of Chase.
Originally slated for just one showing, the demand for tickets was so high the film played twice on Wednesday, said Carroll Lee Ashburn, president of The Kilmarnock Museum.
