Hand weaving on loom “oddities,” art and stained glass will be featured on the Second Saturdays on the Northern Neck Artisan Trail August 11.
Across the trail that day, sites will open their doors to feature a diverse collection of special activities, reported Corinne Becker of Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern.
At Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, members of the Tavern Spinners & Weavers Guild will demonstrate weaving on several loom “oddities,” as well as conventional looms.
Visitors may learn how to weave by hand in many different ways in the guild’s studio, said Becker. The tavern will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m…
