Banks donates copies of new book to NPL

Northumberland Public Library recently received a donation of author Roslyn Haynie Banks’ new children’s book Adelaide and Agriculture, released in 2023.

The book, cowritten by Banks’ daughters, Juliette and Suzette, provides a general overview of the life of African American, female, family farmers in the Northern Neck.

  “We are thrilled to accept the new book from Roslyn and her girls, their first book was a huge hit and we know this one will be as well,” said library director Jane Blue.
