The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck recently announced Jamarcus Russell, Jolie Thibodeaux and Keniyah Smith are youths and teen for September.
Russell, 11, is in the sixth grade at Lancaster Middle School. He has been a club member for three years and excels in activities that involve self-expression, said Lancaster unit director Wardell Carter. His ambition is to go to college and become a dentist.
Russell was selected for being both reliable and very helpful to him and to his peers, said Carter.
“He is grateful for the recognition and feels appreciated,” he added.
Thibodeaux, 8, is in the third grade at Northumberland Elementary School, said unit director Dominique Pugh. She has been a club member for four months.
