
Audiences for The Lancaster Players production of “The Play That Goes Wrong” are introduced to The Cornley University Drama Society’s opening night of “The Murder at Haversham Manor,” a 1920s murder mystery. As the title suggests, things go wrong from start to finish. The play-within-a-play is a “send-up” of theater and a hilarious hybrid of Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes.
The accident-prone actors and the stage crew that attempts to help them recover, deal with a corpse that can’t play dead, an unconscious leading lady and actors whose mis-cues and mis-steps lead to a disastrous conclusion.
