Easing of restrictions doesn’t reduce need for precautions

WARSAW—When Gov. Ralph Northam announced that Virginia would be entering Phase Three on July 1, it meant that many businesses and activities in the Commonwealth, from getting a haircut and going to the gym, to attending large gatherings of up to 250 people, would again be possible. 

But that does not mean a return to normal.

In Executive Order 67, which outlined easing of many previous restrictions, Northam noted, “We must remain cautious—continue teleworking whenever possible, wash our hands frequently, do not touch our faces, and wear face coverings.”
