In conjunction with Virginia Cooperative Extension, Nan Harvey will host a farm workshop, Converting Cropland to Pasture for Sheep, from 1-3 p.m. Friday, October 20, at Point Pleasant Farm near Kilmarnock.
The workshop is free and limited to 20 participants.
Point Pleasant Farm is described as a new/old farm in the Coastal Plain of Virginia. The land has been cleared and farmed for over 100 years. It was mostly crop-farmed until 2020 when Harvey purchased several small adjoining parcels, added fencing and changed the land use to livestock….
