The sunny morning with just a hint of fall in the air brought many folks to the Heathsville Farmers Market on Saturday, September 16. While many took advantage of opportunities to purchase produce, meat, baked goods, peanuts, coffee, oyster spat and handcrafts, others enjoyed the “Living History” demonstrations and visited Nan Harvey and her Leicester longwool sheep (above) from Point Pleasant Farm in Kilmarnock. The final market of the season on October 21 will feature a blessing of the animals and a quilt show/sale. Photo by Jackie Nunnery
