LANCASTER—Susan P. Jett, general registrar and director of elections, this week issued a reminder of the filing deadline for those interested in serving in local government.
“We have had only a very few turn in paperwork and they were all from Irvington,” said Jett. “No one has filed for White Stone or Kilmarnock.”
The filing deadline for the November 5 ballot is June 18, she said.
In Irvington, elections will be held for mayor and three full-term council seats, as well as a special election for a two-year term on council.
In White Stone, elections will be held for four town council seats.
In Kilmarnock, elections will be held for three town council seats.
