WEEMS—Gwendolen U.E. “Gwen” Galliher, 89, peacefully passed away on June 11, 2019, at Rappahannock General Hospital.
Gwen was the beloved daughter of Harry V. Pennell and Ullainee A. Manning-Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Van Nood and Pam Bradley; grandchildren, Ryan Bradley and Heidi Craig; great-grandchildren, Babette, Lily, Virginia, Kip, Cece and Rosie; and Joe’s loving daughters, Lynn, Kathy, Anne and Ginny.
Gwen enjoyed the outdoors, was a consummate gardener, had a passion for animals and was an accomplished artist. She loved her river view home in Weems, where sunsets and camellias made her smile while her Yorkshire Terriers brought her much companionship, joy and laughter.
There will be no public funeral service. Gwen will be cremated and laid to rest with her late husband, Joseph H. Galliher, at Grace Episcopal Church, Kilmarnock.
Currie Funeral Home LLC handled the arrangements.
