Vacation Bible School (VBS) is as much a part of summer in the Northern Neck as the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department Carnival or the USAF Heritage of America Band concert on the Irvington Commons.
Churches throughout the area host daytime and evening Bible schools for children and youth.
Believing that the Christian walk is a call to lifelong learning, Irvington Baptist Church will host an adult VBS concurrent with its VBS for children, reported church secretary Hazel Farmer.
