IRVINGTON—Despite social distancing and mask-wearing restrictions continuing to lighten throughout the country, mayor Albert “Tripp” Bugg on May 13 announced Irvington’s July Fourth parade has been postponed until 2022.
Following an omission in the budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 regarding costs needed for the parade, council unanimously voted to forgo the tradition another year. Members Anthony Marchetti, Dudley Patteson, Wayne Nunnally, Jackie Brown, Frances Westbrook and Bonnie Schaschek voted in favor of the motion.
