RICHMOND—John “Buddy” Linwood Tellis Jr., born September 3, 1941, of Richmond passed away on July 11, 2018, unexpectedly.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from Philip Morris.
He is survived by his siblings, Charles E. Tellis of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty T. Sangster (Bill) and Phyllis T. Herriges, both of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Linwood Tellis Sr. and Annie Smith Tellis; his sister, Shirley Jean Barnes; niece, Lisa Marie Tellis; and nephew, Keith Edward Tellis.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. July 20, 2018, at Irvington Baptist Church.
Arrangements were handled by Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
