Lancaster will enter next week’s Region 1A boys soccer tournament as the seventh place seed.
The Red Devils were scheduled to play Northumberland May 15 in a Northern Neck District semifinal match, Rappahannock and Westmoreland played in the other. The two winners are supposed to meet tonight, May 16, at the higher seed.
Regardless of the outcome of this week’s district tournament, the Devils have already secured a place in the regional tournament after going 5-6 overall. They line up to play unbeaten, second-seeded West Point, 12-0.
Lancaster lost to Tidewater District’s Mathews and Middlesex last week to end regular season play.
