Library seeks help to solve a mystery

The Lancaster Community Library (LCL) will host a Murder Mystery Gala among the Stacks April 26. “A Deadly Draw: A Monte Carlo Murder Mystery” will begin at 6 p.m. at LCL, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

This event with food, drinks and mystery was created as a community engagement fundraiser, said board member Lisa Schultz. Northern Neck author and librarian, Amy E. Lilly, custom wrote the mystery. Familiar volunteer community actors will appear as suspects.

The LCL is truly community driven, with over 100 community volunteers working in the library throughout the year. The LCL only receives 40% of its operating budget from local and state government sources, the rest comes from the private sector and fundraising endeavors….
