Little River joins fleet

Omega Protein’s newest fishing vessel, Little River, arrived at the Reedville plant and corporate headquarters last Thursday. The 180-foot boat, captained by Tom Moore, has a crew of 16 and is scheduled to begin fishing out of Reedville in the Chesapeake Bay on May 4. The Little River was converted at Omega Protein’s shipyard in Moss Point, Miss., and came up the coast last week. Several of Omega’s vessels left April 19 to fish in the Gulf of Mexico.
