Market to host pipers and flower show

The Kilmarnock & District Pipe Band will give an outdoor concert at 10:30 a.m. May 20 at the Heathsville Farmers Market at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville. The market, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., features produce, meat and eggs, flowers and nursery plants, bread and baked goods, gourmet peanuts, skincare products and soaps, birdhouses and locally-made handcrafts. The Chesapeake Bay Garden Club will present “A Celebration of 70 Years,” a National Garden Club Small-Standard Flower Show. The Library of Virginia’s new LVA On the Go! will visit the market.
