HERTFORD, N.C.—Mary Jane Connoley Dawson, 98, of 105 Walnut Street, Hertford, N.C., died Sunday, August 30, 2020, in her home where she was being cared for by her family.
Born in Westmoreland County, on September 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Addison and Lillie Warner King Connoley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Lillie Mae Dawson and Laura Ann Saddlewight; two sons, Albert C. and Lyle Lynwood Dawson; two sisters, Annie Mae Fones and Estelle M. Scott; and by a brother, Charles W. Connoley.
Surviving are her four daughters, Betty Ann Armentrout, Charlotte Ann Banas, Mary Carolyn Williams and Catherine Keyser (George Sr.); two sons, Clifford Baggett and Stanley Earl Rich; five grandchildren; Deborah Ann Keyser Jones (Howard), George W. Keyser, Lenny Dawson Jr., Matthew Dawson and Doug Dawson; two great-grandsons, William L. and Michael L. Jones; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
