MHS wins Region A golf championship

Peyton Lambert shot a 9-over-par 81 as the individual medalist to lead the Middlesex High School Chargers to the Class 1 Region A golf championship at Golden Eagle Golf Course in Irvington on Tuesday, April 13. Middlesex edged host Lancaster by four three strokes.

The Chargers finished with a 381 and sent its entire team to the Virginia High School League Class 1/2 tournament April 19 at Virginia Tech’s Pete Dye River Course. The top region team and top three individuals not on that team qualified for the state championship match.
