Jennifer L. Durrer of Weems and John P. Newsome of Lottsburg were married October 28, 2023, at Horn Harbour in Burgess. Pastor Tommy Thompson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of David and Rita Durrer of Weems. The groom is the son of John and Glenda Newsome of Lottsburg.
The bride and her party arrived at Horn Harbour marina aboard the Christiane owned/operated by Capt. Odis Cockrell.
After a private reception at Horn Harbour, the couple was back to work on Monday catching crabs in the local rivers. They had a honeymoon at the Outer Banks, N.C., a couple of weeks later. They will reside in Weems.
