The Northern Neck Orchestra will perform the Virginia premiere of composer Jessie Montgomery’s Rounds for Strings and Piano on Sunday, October 15. The concert also will feature Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
The performance at the Northumberland High School Theater, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville, will begin at 3 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk by music director Michael Repper at 2:15 p.m.
Tickets are $40. Tickets for the entire four-concert 2023-24 season are $128, including a holiday concert December 16 in Kilmarnock. Tickets may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.
