Northumberland extends learning process, suspends grade penalties

Northumberland schools recently began offering learning opportunities for students of all ages online and/or through other electronic communication tools for the rest of the academic year.

Students will have the opportunity to improve their grades, but will not be penalized if their performance in these learning assessments is not positive, according to superintendent Holly Wargo.

The administration and teachers for each of the county’s three public schools have developed continuity of learning plans for their students, which are designed to reinforce what they’ve already learned so far this academic year.
