The Northumberland Little League Junior Baseball All Stars capped a historic season in July with a trip to the Virginia Junior League tournament in Loudon County.
Northumberland won the District 15 championship for the first time in league history, according to coach Clay Woolard. “To my knowledge it’s the first time we have won a district tournament with any baseball team, from minors to senior,” he said.
Northumberland went undefeated in the district tournament at Mathews….
