Otis Yerby

KILMARNOCK—Otis Burnette “Beaver” Yerby died September 12, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.

Beaver was born June 12, 1962, and grew up in Greentown. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Weems.

He worked at Tides Inn, Irvington, Omega Protein, Louisiana and Reedville; and the Golden Eagle, Irvington, for more than 20 years.

Otis is predeceased by his mother, Margaret Yerby; his father, Otis N. Yerby; and a granddaughter, Harmony A. Yerby.

He is survived by his wife Lindora Yerby; son, Anthony Yerby; daughters, Tarsha Levere and Tabitha McQuerry; sisters, Althea Holly and Shiela Yerby; grandchildren, Anthony, Eternity, Jaden, Jada, Bailee, Brooklynn, Dwayne, Csapreme, Calvin, Khalil, Cassidy, Jamal Jr, JaMaya, Nylah, Ryleh, JaKobe, Jordan, Honesti, Kyler and CJ.

A funeral was held September 24 at Sharon Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
