Rappahannock Industrial Academy will welcome 2021scholars on Sunday

The public is invited to join the Rappahannock Industrial Academy Alumni Association for a Virtual Family Reunion at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 25, on Zoom.

The event will bring together a network of persons who have embraced the association’s goals to document and preserve the history and legacy of the RI Academy, an institution that provided secondary education for African Americans from 1902 to 1948, reported Bessida White.  

Scholarships

The association awards scholarships annually to high school seniors from Essex, King and Queen and Middlesex.
