Ribbon cutting marks grand opening

Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 7, held a successful ribbon cutting to commemorate the grand opening of Fin & Pearl and WATR at 24 West Church Street, Kilmarnock.

Attendees included community and business members, town officials and Chamber representatives, said executive director Sydney Walters. The Rev. John Farmer gave a blessing.

Fin & Pearl and WATR, owned by Fred and Karen Burke, are sister stores of the well-known Burkes Fine Jewelers on Main Street. Fin & Pearl is named after their grandchildren, Fin and Pearl Burke. WATR stands for Weekends at the River. The stores carry apparel, curated gifts and coastal treasures, said Walters.
