FIREWORKS:
Dreamfields, Kilmarnock
Dream Fields will host a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at the complex at 1385 Irvington Road, Kilmarnock. The event is a fundraiser for the ball complex and there will be a $10 per vehicle charge.
Gates will open at 8 p.m. with light refreshments and snacks for sale in the concession stand. Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. Parking will be in the Dream Fields lots with overflow at the Hills Quarter clubhouse parking lot. The rain date is July 3.
Reedville Fishermen’s Museum
The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum (RFM) will host the annual Reedville Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 2.
Activities will include a 5K walk/run (8 a.m.); children’s activities (10 a.m.-noon); public sails on the Skipjack Claud W. Somers (10a.m.-1 p.m.); food, beer garden and music by Mark Z (1-5:30 p.m.); old fashioned parade (3 p.m.); patriotic concert (5 p.m.); and a fireworks show over Cockrell Creek (9 p.m.)
