REEDVILLE—Solnett Odessa Diggs Lee died June 7, 2021.
She was born January 11, 1933, in Sunnybank.
Solnett was educated in Northumberland County schools. She was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Reedville, where she was an usher, member of the Missionary Circle and member of the senior, combined and sanctuary choirs.
She worked as manager in the school cafeteria for 20 years and drove a school bus for over 40 years.
Solnett is survived by companion, William Smith; daughter, Senora Lee; sons, Douglas, Kirk and Morgan Lee; 40 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lilly Pearl Moore; stepbrother, Ellison Williams; and step-mother, Annie Diggs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bennie S. Lee; and son, Shelton C. Lee.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Shiloh Baptist Church.
