RICHMOND—Synethia Harcum Campbell died Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
She was born on April 14, 1946, the daughter of the late Carlton Stewart Harcum and the late Ethel M. Benns-Taylor.
Synethia was a graduate of the Northumberland County Public School System. She continued her education at Apex Cosmetology School, Richmond. She later was employed with DGSC-Bellwood Federal Government, where she retired.
Synethia was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Northumberland. When she moved to Richmond, she joined First Baptist Church.
Synethia is survived by her son, Avery Toulson; stepsons, Robert aka “Spanky” Toulson and Eric Toulson; stepdaughter, Treva Toulson-Breaker; grandchildren, Terrell Miller, Amiree Lewis-Toulson and Christopher Wynn-Toulson; and brothers, John Taylor and Orthea Harcum Sr.
A funeral was held Saturday, November 25, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Burgess.
