Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, will offer a Take-out BBQ Dinner from 4-6 p.m. March 12. Tickets must be bought in advance.
Tavern member Sid Mace of Reedville, a certified North Carolina BBQ Master, will make pulled pork, BBQ sauce and “Jack Daniels” baked beans, reported executive director Corinne Becker. The meal also will come with Tavern-made potato salad and coleslaw, a bun and brownies for dessert.
The fee is $25. Pay in advance online via Paypal at rhhtfoundationinc.org, or in person at the Tavern Gift Shoppe. Present the printed receipt on March 12 and a Tavern volunteer will bring the meals to the car.
The gift shop is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
