The Bookworms Inc. donates over 700 books

During its annual board meeting and planning session July 13 The Bookworms Inc. reported that for the 2022-23 school year, on a shoestring budget, over 700 books were distributed to students attending the Lancaster County Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). Board member Kathy Pittman reported the organization is funded 100% by donations from the community.

The goal for the 2023-24 school year is to achieve the same book distribution as last year, said Pittman. Long term, The Bookworms would like to grow the organization to a point where they can service more students, perhaps kindergarten and first grade.
