White Stone’s new wastewater treatment plant is up and pumping

WHITE STONE—Nearly eight years after the initial application process began, White Stone’s new $6 million public sewage system is up and pumping.

Town council and staff met at the 19.83-acre site off of Mosquito Point Road on Thursday, November 10, to tour the wastewater treatment plant. According to town manager Patrick Frere, the first connection was made and the plant went on line as operational September 22. Approximately 70 hookups, including 45 residential and 25 commercial, have now been completed.

The first phase of the sewage project will include 175 hookups….
