IRVINGTON—The Irvington town council on March 12 held a special work session to review the first draft of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
In sharing the projected revenues, down 7.75% versus the current fiscal year to $187,900, council member Bonnie Schaschek expressed concern about the economy and how it would affect some revenues. “We’re going to fall short in certain areas and it needs to be noted,” she said.
The bank franchise income is expected to be down 1% from last year to $9,000. “Deposits are going down, interest rates are going down and we’re not quite sure what’s happening in the financial market,” Schaschek said.
